Funded by the US State Department International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) Division and in partnership with INL, the Organization of American States (OAS/CICAD), and other key implementation partners such as CADCA, a 48-month demonstration project is intended to determine the feasibility of (1) bringing drug demand reduction efforts to scale in geographic areas within Colombia and (2) impacting key population-level indicators of drug use, individual and community well-being, and crime. This demonstration project is intended to provide a proof of concept for INL to assess the feasibility and cost effectiveness of bringing environmental intervention approaches to scale in other locations in the future. PIRE is leading monitoring and evaluation efforts for the demonstration project.
