Alabama Department of Mental Health, Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (AL DMHSAS) was awarded Partnership for Success (PFS) funds from SAMHSA to support substance abuse prevention services in nine high need counties across the state. The Alabama Partnership for Success (AL PFS) seeks to prevent and reduce underage drinking and its negative consequences, while improving prevention capacity and infrastructure, in selected communities that experience health disparities, less access to care, and poorer behavioral health outcomes. PIRE is contracted to provide evaluation services support including the design and implementation of a school based survey in these nine counties to assess the impact of prevention programs and strategies on adolescent substance misuse and risk and protective factors and to provide support for federal reporting on process level outcomes.
