Ms. Bauer is responsible for assisting in web searches and literature reviews, developing and formatting data collection instruments, programming online data collection instruments, collecting data and maintaining data files, tracking data collection efforts, transcribing audio files, performing data entry, data cleaning, and data management in preparation for analyses. Rachel has training and experience in conducting analysis with both qualitative and quantitative data.
She is also responsible for drafting and finalizing project deliverables, preparing and organizing manuscripts, proposals, bibliographies, and other project materials as well providing technical assistance to communities participating in research. Ms. Bauer earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in Criminology from Western Kentucky University. Ms. Bauer is also currently enrolled in Code Louisville having earned her Front-end Web Development, Python, and JavaScript certifications. Being a retired police officer also provides her with first-hand knowledge in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
